Who is the Great Goddess?
The Great Goddess is the feminine aspect of the Divine. She manifests herself through the totality of animate and inanimate matter, through nature. She is the Mother of Life. However, she encompasses not only the entire world of material phenomena, but also natural rhythms and natural principles – in line with the needs of all living beings.
It is important to understand that the Path of the Great Goddess is not a system of matriarchy, that is, a patriarchy upside down. In no way is it some kind of religion. There are no demands on the individual, there are no manmade artificial rules, and nothing and no one is punished for anything by the Great Goddess.
Rather, it is about the harmonious relationship and coexistence of male and female principles, of Yin and Yang, of men and women. About turning away from hierarchical, patriarchal structures and their devastating consequences for our world and our relationship structures.
Rather, the Path of the Great Goddess is an invitation you can accept, that attracts happiness, love and meaning as a natural consequence of worshipping her, both within us and without.
Worshipping the Great Goddess means, for example, to practice gratitude and appreciation of what is the way it is, towards people, animals, plants, situations or things that we encounter in life, which we spend time with and which help us to express more love, truth and wisdom.
It is our love for the Divine and the way it shows itself through all those things, and our love for how the Great Goddess takes care of us. Since she is encompassing all animate matter, she is a part of ourselves.
We are also part of the Great Goddess. Accepting ourselves, loving ourselves and fulfilling our potential means accepting the invitation to the Path of the Great Goddess, loving and worshipping her.
